I have 2 young boys and a beautiful wife — at the end of the day that’s what this is all about, right?

I have enjoyed pursuing many skills in several fields; print shop, enterprise software engineering, sales, CDL transportation, and even marine vessel captain! I have loved all of them for different reasons. The bulk of my education is in Computer Science and Software Engineering while I’ve also received a degree in Visual Communications and Marketing Design. I found my way into finance while working with my father to grow Pend Oreille Charters fishing charter on Lake Pend Oreille in Hope, ID as their primary captain — strange place to find a passion for finance, I know. I was already day trading in my spare time and tax season worked with the slow winters in the fishing world so I decided to give it a try. My engineering, math, and technical background was hungry for stimulation and taxes quickly filled that void. I spent a few years working for a larger conglomerate preparing 1040’s for my peers here in Sandpoint. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to pursue a degree in Forensic Accounting and am still pursuing my MBA in this field as well as finishing my EA professional credential through the IRS when time allows. I work 7 days a week in the Summer on the lake and 7 days a week in the winter for tax season while providing a quality bookkeeping service every month to my clients, going to school, and raising my kids and I’m loving every step of the journey!

CW Bookkeeping & Tax is my 5th company that I’ve started and grown.
